Astol Metal Spinners is a 100% Australian owned and operated family business specialising in injection moulding and metal spinning.
Established in Melbourne in 1952, Astol later branched into steel, stainless steel, aluminium and brass.
In 1959, at the new Huntingdale location, demand for a plastic alternative grew and Astol began joining purchased plastic halves using flame welders. In 1986 the business moved to Mordialloc and was purchased by Rod and Jeanne Kieseker from her parents. Astol bought an injection moulding machine and, in 1994, upgraded from flame welding to vibration welding.
In 1999 Astol moved to its current Citrus Street, Braeside location. The facility has expanded to six injection moulding machines, five vibration welders, three lathes, a 400-tonne press and an extensive range of other machinery.
